Project Overview:
This packaging project was developed as part of a course assignment where we were tasked with creating a label for a fictional beverage, inspired by any aspect of popular culture. I chose to design a THC-infused energy drink, recognizing the growing appeal of cannabis products post-legalization. My goal was to capture the attention of a younger demographic through an eye-catching, vibrant design while meeting all regulatory requirements for THC products, including bilingual labeling, nutritional information, warnings, and dosage.
Design Approach:
Unlike many THC beverages on the market, which often use sleek and minimalist designs with single bold colors, I opted for a more playful, visually engaging approach. I selected a bright, balanced color scheme and created fun, dynamic illustrations for each flavor. Fruits in the clouds were used to reference both the name of the drink and its intended effects, adding a whimsical touch. This design differentiates itself with its bold appeal, intended to stand out on the shelf and draw in consumers through aesthetics alone.
